Adult Survivors of Sexual Assault

This group is for women who have been assaulted as adults or older teens. It is an informal, self-help model that recognizes the wounding experience and honors the need, and the right, to heal and grow.

Some symptoms a survivor can experiences may include:

  • Anger
  • Anxiety
  • Betrayal
  • Shame
  • Guilt
  • Fear
  • Loss of Trust
  • Confusion
  • Emotional Shock
  • Powerlessness
  • Isolation

The counseling process can help you to shift your viewpoint and dispel some of the negative messages. Counseling will provide:

  • A safe and secure environment to express feelings
  • A way to discover personal boundaries and set limits
  • Validation and affirmation of feelings
All services are confidential and free of charge.
