The process of healing for victims of sexual abuse depends on the nature of the abuse, the duration of the abuse, the relationship to the perpetrator, and the presence of a support system. At the Women’s Center of San Joaquin County, adult counseling services are available to men and women who have been affected by sexual victimization. For adult survivors, as well as their significant others, counseling offers validation support, and empowerment.

All services are offered in English and in Spanish, are free of charge, and confidential within the guidelines of the mandated reporting laws.
